Re: Legal Grind - Coffee and Counsel® Community Alliance Proposal
To: Coffeehouses in the San Fernando Valley:
As the operator of two coffeehouses in the Los Angeles area, Legal Grind® Coffee & Counsel would like to present a special opportunity to a few select coffeehouses in the San Fernando Valley who are also passionate about coffee culture, and community outreach.
Currently, we are working with the non-profit San Fernando Valley Bar Association's Lawyer Referral & Information Service (SFVBA LRIS) to increase accessibility to quality legal advice, in doing so, we are looking for a coffeehouse(s) to host 15 minute consults provided by participating attorneys. In return, Legal Grind, Inc. will share revenue generated by the Coffee & Counsel® meetings with the coffeehouse as a form of rent.
We have developed a widely respected network of reputable attorneys, hand picked from the local legal community to volunteer their time at Legal Grind Cafes. From our cafes in Santa Monica and Inglewood, Legal Grind has offered $25 consultations via our trademark "Coffee & Counsel®" sessions to more than 20,000 clients since opening our doors to the public in 1996. In 2001 Legal Grind was the recipient of the American Bar Association's Louis M. Brown Award for legal access, an award given annually to an organization that assists people in the resolution of their legal problems in innovative ways.
