Louis M. Brown Award for Legal Access
The idea of blending a cafe atmosphere with a menu of affordable and in-demand legal services has been successful, and earned Legal Grind, Inc. the American Bar Association's 2001 Louis M. Brown Award for Legal Access. Click here to learn more about the Louis M. Brown Award.
The ABA Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services is seeking nominations for the 2008 Louis M. Brown Award for Legal Access. The Award recognizes programs and projects that have made substantial and/or creative contributions toward meeting the legal needs of people with moderate incomes. The Delivery Committee is particularly interested in honoring programs that advance innotative notions of preventive law, pro se support and unbundled legal services. Note the Committee encourages self-nominations. The entry deadline for the2008 Award is in December, 2007. The Award recipient and those receiving meritorious recognition will be honored at the ABA Midyear Meeting in February of 2008. In addition, all suitable entries are listed in the Committee's annual publication, Profiles of Moderate IncomeDelivery Programs.
